R.I.P. — much more than a spy novelist; his knowledge of both human nature and post-WWII international politics was second to none. Fortunately, we’ll always have his books … but I do hope 2020 is finally done with the list of great people it’s taking from us forever.
He will be missed. I have read most of his books.

He will be missed — particularly his voice in the ongoing public debate. I’m not sure I can say I have read “most“ of his books … but I have read many of them (and several of them more than once), and I am now glad I have a sizeable quantity yet to look forward to.

I’m not a big reader of spy novels, but his characters and his knowledge were remarkable. I look forward to reading more of his books in English (I had read a few in their Spanish translations). Stay well.
